China Travel Prep

About

China Travel Prep is a pocket toolkit for an English-speaking visitor on a first trip to mainland China. It is for the moment you need a big line of Chinese, a payment step, or a phone number.

It is not a guidebook, not an official service, and not affiliated with any government, airline, Alipay, or WeChat.

The Chinese is there so you can show the phone. It can still be wrong. It is not a substitute for a person who speaks Chinese, and it is not medical, legal, or financial advice.

Payment steps are general troubleshooting, and a few lines cite an official help page. Exchange rates are a saved snapshot with the date printed on the screen. Emergency numbers are the public mainland numbers 110, 120, 119, and 122. The visa page is a copy of public immigration lists, not permission to enter.

There is no account. Places you save and the SOS card stay in this browser.
